Most BB users should know BlackBerry Messenger has added “BBM Group” feature since version 5 onward. This is a great feature allow you to join a group (Max is 30 people) for group chat. Of course you will meet more friends in the group chat.The disadvantage is the more group you join (while people are aggressively chatting in the group), there will be many messages push into your BlackBerry phone. And notification sounds are non-stop ringing in you BlackBerry phone too.
Actually there is a way to disable a group notification and I found not many people know how to disable it. Here I share the secret. Go to BBM Group, press menu button, then select “Group details”. Below screen will appear.
Scroll down to the bottom part. Change the setting “Turn Off All Notifications For This Group” to YES.
